A modern-day Sikh wedding at The Calyx, Sydney Botanic Gardens: A showcase of the perfect marriage of Honey Lane team’s artistic flair, and impeccable planning team.

We were beside ourselves with excitement when we were chosen as the wedding stylists and planners of renowned makeup artist and content creator Rowi Singh, and financial analyst Rahul Sharma.

Set to be featured in Vogue Magazine, we knew this wedding was going to be #wedding inspo. Making sure our couples are reflected in each and every detail of the day, we were excited to use our creative expertise to showcase the cultural richness and beauty of a traditional Sikh wedding.

The venue for this colour sensation was The Calyx, located in the heart of the Sydney Botanic Gardens. The Royal Botanic Gardens served as the perfect backdrop for this awe-inspiring celebration of colour and flowers.

The pre-wedding festivities kicked off with a traditional prayer ceremony at Rowi's grandparents, followed by a rousing sangeet night. The dance floor was the place to be, and the night was filled with bright colour, good food, and joy.

The wedding day itself reflected the beauty and striking colours of the couple’s Sikh heritage. The ceremony was held in a beautiful greenhouse that gave it an intimate, peaceful energy. The styling of this venue was nothing short of extraordinary, with organic cascading florals over the sides of the mandap, handmade butterflies adorning the aisle, and woven into the amazing creative floral arrangements that transformed The Calyx into a modern-day, enchanted garden.

Our talented wedding design team brought the reception tables to life with abundant, colourful floral arrangements and opulent displays of fruits such as pomegranates, papaya, pears, and chilies! Bespoke signage with R&R initials & a custom-made bar created epic photo backdrops for the insta-fabulous crowd.

We loved every moment of this breath-taking wedding production, as it reflected the unique vibe of our incredible couple. We are so honoured that they trusted us to create this sensational wedding that will be talked about, and used as wedding inspiration for many brides to come!
