The Honey Lane team specialise in private property, everything-from-scratch type of venues. Our team meticulously source every.single.item and bring into the location, and…then remove it again at the end of the evening! A blank canvas wedding is not for the faint hearted, but it allows for a wedding experience that is perfectly curated, and tailored to the couple’s individual and unique style.
Our talented styling team was truly in their element, artfully executing the theme of timeless romance, but without the stuffy formality. The florals at this wedding were next-level amazing, with huge aerial installations that transformed the roof of the marquee into something otherworldly.
The pretty colour palette reflected the warmth of the couple and created the perfect contrast to the venue location. Clean whites, warm creams, blush pink, and a hint of lilac were perfectly woven into all the finer details. The result was a magnificently curated, one-of-a-kind wedding, for Zoe and Ned.
As if the wedding couldn't get any better, well-known public figure Beau Ryan made a surprise appearance as the MC. He had everyone on their feet and added an extra layer of excitement to the already fabulous occasion.
At the end of the night, the love, joy, and happiness that filled the air could be felt by everyone. The hours of meticulous planning, creative thinking, and a flawless production had seamlessly come together in a perfectly executed wedding. Honey Lane certainly embraced the challenge, and we are so proud of the unforgettable wedding experience that was created for Zoe and Ned.
A behind the scenes note… this huge wedding production was all done with the looming threat of rising flood waters in the Hawkesbury river. Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Honey Lane was able to gracefully execute the day as planned (with feet kicking madly under the water), whilst simultaneously becoming experts in reading meteorological synoptic charts!
WHAT TO DO IF IT RAINS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
We all know the one thing we can’t control is the weather! Despite our 10 years of experience, Honey Lane has still not figured out how to stop those drops from falling. It’s good to remember that rain does give your wedding a different feel! So we suggest you embrace the romantic, more intimate and cosy vibe.
The only thing that you can do is be prepared - here are our top tips for planning for rain:
- Have uniform umbrellas for guests and bridal party - all white - or, we also like clear umbrellas as they are less obvious
- Talk to your venue ahead of time about wet weather options, plan both in and out equally well!
- Be prepared if the rain brings cold weather - think standing heaters, cosy throws & open fire places
- Think about alternative photo locations if outdoors is not an option
- Consider having your hairdresser stay on for hair touch ups, if you will be walking in the rain
- Buy clear heel covers to protect your special wedding shoes
