The Honey Lane team envisioned a styling brief that took the best of the Australian country and expertly meshed it with the refinement of European luxury. The end goal was to create an atmosphere that was both polished and fun, creating the feeling of a relaxed garden party with a touch of je ne sais quois! The design team named this look ‘Timeless Woodlands Chic.’
The colour palette that was chosen to bring this elegant wedding to life drew inspiration from the surrounding grasslands and meticulously maintained gardens. Neutral hues of white, cream, and beige blended seamlessly with occasional blush pinks and lush greenery, creating a vibrant backdrop that ran through the floral arrangements, linen, and elegantly styled tables. The result was a visually stunning celebration that drew from the natural beauty of the property, and it allowed to shine in all its magnificence.
With so many beautiful little pockets of the farm to explore, the guests began the wedding day at the picturesque Crab Apple Lawn for the touching ceremony. They were then able to meander along to the inviting Croquet Lawn, where they enjoyed an alfresco garden party in the beautiful afternoon sun.
The reception was held in the elegant permanent marquee located onsite. Here, Christie and Sam’s loved ones dined on the sublime food by expert chef Simon Ekas, and enjoyed the very amusing speeches with a good wine in hand. A standout styling feature was the use of terracotta potted plants amongst traditional flower arrangements that dressed the dining tables.
