Honey Lane Weddings at Terrara House

If you were as obsessed as we were by Bridgeton, you will understand how excited we were to bring all the whimsical detail and colour to this fabulous South Coast Wedding. The historical Terrara House, with it’s manicured gardens and regal feel, was 100% regency romance approved! Our exquisite bride, Natalie, takes us inside her modern fairytale wedding…

Describe the vibe you wanted to create for your day?

Bridgerton/Marie Antoinette vibes were a big inspiration with involving the bright pastels! I wanted to involve colour so it would be more “fun” and reflective of our personalities but I also wanted it to be classic and timeless, so the pastels were perfect for this.

Tell us about your something blue…

We involved blue florals for the “something blue”- my bridesmaids had predominantly blue/pink bouquets and I had a tiny, subtle little blue flower in my bouquet as well.

Tell us about your venue…

Terrara House on the NSW South Coast. I loved that the ceremony and reception were all in one place and just how beautiful it all was. The Love Garden was the most amazing place for the ceremony and just felt so tucked away, unique and beautiful!

What made you decide on hiring a wedding stylist?

It was sooo overwhelming at the beginning trying to style the wedding on my own that I thought I needed to leave it to the professionals! There is nothing like leaving it in the hands of someone who knows the industry inside and out, and really trusting the process from there.

We are glad we…

Hired the vendors that we did! Also hiring a florist and stylist with a pre-existing relationship was a godsend as we trusted that process so much and the florals and styling just turned out perfectly.

Favourite moment of the day…

Our first dance! We chose “Clarity” by Vance Joy and it was so fun to have a more up beat song to kick off the dance floor with. We also loved all the speeches so much.

Words of advice – anything you’d like to share with future couples?

It sounds cliché- but trust the professionals and don’t sweat the small stuff. On the day literally NOTHING bothers you because you’re just so happy to be there and getting married to the love of your life. Putting your trust in your vendors and relinquishing that control just makes the process even smoother!

Some of your favourite styling aspects?

Literally everything but some parts that stood out to me were the amazing place mats that had everyone’s name hand written on them, the beautiful colours for the napkins and tableware and the florals.

Tell us about your dress...

I had 2 dresses- my first was custom Mariana Hardwick and my second was Marquise Bridal.

My first dress is my favourite thing I have ever worn- we wanted to keep a beautiful structure to the dress whilst adding the feminine touch with the bows on the shoulder. It turned out even better than I ever expected!

What did you love about working with Honey Lane?

Honey Lane EXCEEDED my expectations beyond my wildest dreams. Poppy, our stylist, took away soooo much stress, listened so well to what we want and managed to create the most beautiful wedding. It honestly felt like she had jumped in my head and seen exactly what I was seeing, except ten times better! HL were my #1 vendor and I wish I could have 10 more weddings to use them again!
