We wanted to share the exiting news of our new Wedding Stylist… welcome POPPY!
Having grown up in the film industry, Poppy found a passion for creativity early on. She has spent the last 7 years in film and fashion working across styling, production and set design. Whether she is styling a high fashion shoot, working on location for an event or coordinating with designers, her pursuit for creativity is in her DNA. She loves getting to know people and understanding what inspires them, and she now turns these passions to styling the most bespoke of weddings.
We wanted to get know her a little more, so asked a few questions, yes on day one in our studio!
Tell us a little about your Floristry pursuits? Any advice for our wedding couples?
I love being a hands-on creative, so at the beginning of this year I decided to formally study floristry - something that I have always wanted to do. I love being given a creative brief and transforming words into a tactile and meaningful experience - and wedding florals do just that!
My advice for wedding couples is to have fun with it! You can treat your wedding florals like pieces of art that can completely transform a space. I think this is an opportunity to be playful in the design of your day, and do something different!
What's something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I have recently fallen in love with gardening and have a discovered a total passion for growing my own food. I started a half acre veggie garden down on our property in Tasmania which I try to get to as often as possible.
What you are most looking forward to this wedding season?
I am so excited to see the weddings finally come to life that have had to be pushed back after the last couple of years. These weddings bring so much joy to both the couples and their guests, and seeing their creative visions be brought to life after such anticipation is so warming!
Are there any designers in fashion or otherwise you are inspired by at the moment?
Keeping it on theme, I am loving what bridal deisgner; Danielle Frankel Studio are doing. Their etherial shapes and intricate designs are so beautiful!
