Sophisticated Soiree at Vaucluse House

We had the pleasure of working with Bianca and Jack to bring their wedding vision to life at the gorgeous Estate, Vaucluse House Sydney. With family and friends at the heart of this couple’s wedding celebration, the styling took on soft neutrals and crisp whites as the perfect ’unfussy’ sophisticated backdrop.

We reached out to these two love birds to answer some of our questions about their experience on the day. If you are getting married, looking for a venue or simply want to understand what it is like from the couples perspective, have a read below!

How did you two love birds meet?

We met through mutual friends at a Trivia Night in Surry Hills, almost 7 years ago!

Describe the vibe you wanted to create for your day.

We just wanted something easy, fresh and elegant, representing as much of us as it could! Simple, elegant and beautiful - and something our friends and family could enjoy.

We wanted the vibe to just be about a celebration of love, and I think that is exactly what it was.

What made you decide on hiring a wedding stylist and coordinator for your wedding?

I didn’t know where to begin for organising anything for the wedding, and I was never one of those people that had a direct vision. I just wanted assistance to create something that looked gorgeous on the day, and also just make the day as easy as possible. We only had to worry about what we were doing, and not worry about suppliers or coordination – and that part was perfect for us.

We are glad we….?

Picked a venue that wasn’t too big! The maximum venue numbers were around 120, and that part was an added bonus! If you have the capacity, you do just find yourself inviting everyone. But it made our wedding the intimate gathering we wanted, with all of our family and close friends. It was perfect.

The Venue - How did you know it was the one?

Just the garden itself and surroundings. To be in almost the middle of Sydney CBD, but in a lush, beautiful garden atmosphere with almost no one around was exactly why we loved the venue.

Favourite moment from your wedding day.

Toss up between our little girl walking down the aisle, and our first dance!

A piece of advice…

Try to take as much time throughout the day to remember really good moments, it goes so quickly and you wish you could do it all again!
