  • What is the difference between planning and styling?

    Great question! Planning and styling work hand in hand and both are key to the success of your event.

    Put simply, our styling services cover the visual side of the event. This involves us designing the layout of your ceremony and reception areas and creating a personalised event design for you from the ground up. Think styling elements such as your arbour, tables, chairs, bars, cocktail furniture, signage, tablecloths and napkins, menus, place cards, candles, lighting, lounges, rugs, runner, the list goes on!

    We source it all, create a mood board and detailed style proposal for you, liaise with all suppliers and coordinate all set up and pack down on the day.

    Event planning is more ‘behind the-scenes’ but without these elements there would be no wedding at all! We work with you to source vendors that are the right fit for your vision including your venue, celebrant, photographer, videographer, marquee (if required), caterer, bar team, cake, hair and make up, invitations, entertainment, transport, and guest accommodation.

  • Do your services include florals?

    We don’t do floral design in house at Honey Lane but we have a long list of florists we work with regularly and we can help match you with the right person based on the look you are after.

    Once you have chosen your florist, we work with them at each step of the styling process to ensure the style and florals complement one another.

  • Your prices seem to be estimates only. Do you have set packages and prices?

    Everything we do at Honey Lane is unique to each couple so we don’t offer set styling or planning packages. The prices in our information pack are a guide of what our services include and the average investment for each based on a typical Sydney wedding of 80-150 guests. For less guests, or more, or weddings outside of Sydney, we would love to chat about the specifics of your wedding and from there we’ll put together a customised quote just for you!

  • Do you charge travel fees?

    At Honey Lane we’re fortunate to plan and style weddings across Sydney and the surrounding areas including the Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains, Central and South Coast and for weddings more than 50kms from Sydney, we do charge a travel fee.

    Factored into this fee are travel times, the number of staff needed and whether overnight stay is required. They generally range from $500- $900, depending on the size of your wedding and location. If you’re after a personalised travel quote, just get in touch!

  • What is included in your styling collection?

    We have a large collection of styling items available free of charge for all our styling and planning couples. This includes a huge array of candles holders, arches, signing tables, table numbers, wishing wells, rugs, cushions and much more.

    Be sure to check out our website for our full catalogue. For items that will get dirty while in use such as food service items or candle sticks, there may just be a very small cleaning fee.
