EVENT DESIGNER & STYLIST (Part Time)

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Part Time Event Designer & Stylist to join our highly regarded Event Planning & Design business in Sydney. This is a 3-4 day role (negotiable for the right person), with the potential to become full time in September 2018. We are a small but highly efficient team where you will have the opportunity to showcase your creative styling flare and design skills while bringing to life our clients visions for weddings, corporate functions and private parties. The role will involve:

 

  1. Meeting with clients together with Honey Lane’s owner and director, to gain an understanding of their vision

  2. Creating Mood Boards and Event Design presentations for clients

  3. Exercising your creativity to develop interesting and unique event styling ideas

  4. Taking creative control over the design of signage and stationary requirements

  5. Working with a large number of suppliers to execute on your ideas

  6. Managing vendor and venue relationships

  7. Seeing  your work through to execution on event day

 

We are looking for a super switched on person who is a quick learner and has good hustle!! You will have experience in event styling, know how to put together a great mood board and have a keen interest in the latest trends in wedding styling as well as other areas of inspiration such as interiors. You will be confident and well presented in front of clients but also more than happy to work autonomously. As the majority of our clients are brides, you must have a friendly, patient and understanding personality.

 

You must be willing and able to work weekends (for time in-lieu during the week). Event sets ups involve you needing to roll up your sleeves so you must be healthy, strong and willing to get amongst it.

 

You must have:

  • 2+ experience in events, styling or other related field

  • Skills in Indesign

  • Brilliant can-do attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Weekend availability

Your application will be highly regarded if you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • Photoshop and Sketch Up skills

The role is located 10 minutes from Manly, NSW with events being held all over Sydney!
