Not even rain could dampen spirits for this vibrant harbourside wedding!
From the get-go it was clear Brett and Eugene were a fun couple who wanted their wedding day to be just that, fun!
As wedding stylists and planners we love getting to know our couples, finding out what they want for their big day and then working with them to find creative and memorable ways to honour their wishes. It’s about being authentic to who they are and creating a day that is true to them and this was no different when it came time to plan for Eugene and Brett!
Following the ceremony the fun continued as the reception kicked off at the Palais Room at Luna Park. From the start of the planning process, Brett and Eugene were determined their special day wouldn’t be just ‘another wedding’ so we worked with them to design a unique event that was true to both personalities. The Palais Room’s mix of stunning harbour views with the playfulness of an amusement park certainly fitted the bill!
Our styling approach took Brett + Eugene’s love of classic refinement and added a dash of contemporary detail.
Florist Mabel + Elsi kept the table florals simple, mixing lush greenery with deeper tones of chocolate and dark native flowers for a masculine yet welcoming feel.
The florals sat beautifully amongst the clean, fresh colour palette, incorporating white linens with pops of charcoal and black for a layered, textural feel. Classic dark brown Bentwood chairs completed the look and lighting was kept to a minimum with pillar candles used to give the tables a soft, romantic glow.
In lieu of wedding favours, Brett and Eugene had a cartoonist on hand throughout the night creating portraits for guest to take home and as the reception wound down, guests were let loose in the amusement park. A fitting finish to this fun-filled wedding!
Congratulations Brett and Eugene. May your life together be as full of fun and laughter as your wedding day!
