For Chinese born couple Jenny and Naish, their wedding was a truly international affair, with guests flying in from around the world and their reception taking place in the buzzing heart of Sydney.
Bride Jenny has lived in Paris, Monaco and San Francisco but it was when Naish made a business trip to Shanghai that the pair first met.
With Naish raised in Sydney, it was important to the couple they had an Australian wedding which is when we stepped in to be their stylists and co-ordinatior, on the ground when they couldn’t be!
The couple chose Blackburn Gardens for their ceremony and had the weather gods shining down on them, keeping the storm clouds at bay.
Jenny’s love of fashion and photography played into the look and feel of the day and we worked with her throughout the styling process to create an atmosphere that reflected her classic, elegant and refined aesthetic with hints of romantic vintage.
Shades of purple were central to the couple’s colour palette, from their bridesmaid’s dresses to their florals and even their reception lighting.
As the sun went down the pair moved their celebrations to the historic Cell Block Theatre in the National Art School. It was here their personal style really shone!
From a styling point of view, Cell Block Theatre is a blank canvas which allowed us to create Jenny + Naish’s stunning reception from the ground up.
With all hands on deck, the Honey Lane team brought in the chairs, tables, linen, menus, place cards, and oversaw the florals before the statement chandeliers were installed for the ultimate breathtaking moment!
