A Quaint Celebration of Love at Home!
It was small, it was intimate and it was FUN! It has been one year since Lauren and Mike engaged with our services, requesting our Full Planning and Styling package to bring their wedding to life from the other side of the world. Both living in the UK at the time, Lauren and Mike always dreamed of coming back home to Australia to celebrate their wedding at Mike’s parent’s beautiful home in Rosebay. Completely manicured to perfection, the property presented the perfect location for a quaint celebration of love at home.
The day was filled with delicious food by Cook and Waiter, great tunes by Event Entertainers, a small but practical marquee by Pages Event Hire, a delicious cake by Stacey Brewer Cakes, magical blooms by Sweet Pea and Honey Bee, and the most epic images captured by Willow and Co.
The ceremony was situated at the front of the property. An Italian inspired patio infused with trailing vines, stone detailing and floor to ceiling windows. Lauren and Mike married on the front porch during a ceremony filled with lots of laughter and love!
Guests then made their way through the house and into the back yard. A smaller space with manicured green hedging filling all four sides. We popped a marquee into the centre to avoid last minute weather decisions and seated the guests in long tables down the length of the marquee.
The styling was kept minimal drawing inspiration from the idea of a secret garden centred around wild and organic florals with hanging foliage introducing touches of toffee, taupe, dusty blush and terracotta used to create a warm, flowing statement. We continued this rich colour palette through to the signage and table styling, using texture and layering of the napkins and stationery and a light weighted runner down the table. Accents of timber were also used to ground the look and further reinforce the secret garden concept.
Lauren rocked a full body silver jumpsuit that knocked our socks off! While Michael kept it formal with a black suit and tie matching his stunning wife.
Lauren and Mike knew what they wanted from the get-go and it was important to them that we ran the show from Sydney while they were still back home in the UK until the very week of their wedding. Our Full Planning and Styling packages allows just that!
