Coastal Elegance: Amanda & Simon 20/04/17

Amanda and Simon booked in the luxurious Jonah’s as their wedding venue and with that, they established their love for an elegant coastal wedding theme. We wanted to highlight the oceanic vibes by introducing deep navy tones, complimented by the romance of blush pinks and complete with accents of copper hues.

Amanda and Simon chose to have an intimate guest list of just 40x of their closest family and friends and we wanted to ensure their special guests were in for a treat! Guests watched Amanda and Simon exchange their intimate ‘I do’s’, with their son Jax, as their ring bearer, and the ocean as their backdrop.

After the ceremony, guests headed up to the balcony overlooking the garden and picturesque whale beach views, whilst indulging in some celebratory drinks, a selection of roaming canapés and listening to some live acoustic music. As the sun began to set, a sea of festoon lighting lit up the balcony, which would later be their dance floor.

As the reception began, guests took their seats in the venue’s terrace room. The tables were set with white linen, with white crushed muslin cloth table runners to create that elegant meets relaxed coastal feel. On top of the runners, we clustered white crystals, coral, crystal cut tea lights and brass candle sticks and tea lights. Also scattered amongst the table designs where crystal cut bud vases featuring white, phalaenopsis orchids, cosmo flowers and pink garden roses for that modern meets wild romance look. Each guest place setting featured a set of brass cutlery, blue crystal cut glassware, a blue agate stone and gold calligraphy place card and an individual, white linen card menu.

The detail we put in to styling the reception tables was so intricate and personlised to Amanda and Simon’s tastes, so that all their guests would notice that and feel excited from the moment they walked in to the room. The guest experience is a crucial element to any wedding we style and we were so thrilled it was an important factor to Amanda and Simon on their big day too.

A special shot out to Liz Ham for the beautiful images she snapped up below of Amanda and Simon’s special day.
