Bec and Dave chose the gorgeous Centennial Parklands in Sydney as the perfect backdrop for an elegant wedding for 130 or so of their closest family and friends. We were very excited when they asked us to style both their ceremony and reception.
There ceremony was held in the park between Duck and Lilly Ponds. It was such an intimate setting framed but large, beautiful trees. The park wetting was complimented with lots of bright flowers and greenery. Our lovely bamboo canopy was draped with sheer linen and Becca from Flora Folk created the most amazing floral installation to complete the chuppa. Bec and Dave wanted to treat their guests to an after-ceremony garden party. We set up a drinks station, as well as a gorgeous cheese station complete with crackers, quince paste and other yummy treats! We laid out our gorgeous Kantha Quits as picnic blankets and also put out our lawn games to keep the guests entertained.
Once the guests moved to Centennial Park Dining, we wanted to make sure that once the sun went down, that the garden party continued inside the gorgeous dining room. We use our stunning gold terrariums to create mini gardens which were places on the guests’ tables. Each guests also had one of our lovely jute placemats and placed on top of their setting was a sprig of fresh herbs freshly picked that very morning!
The lighting was very important for this event. We did not want the park to disappear into the darkness once the sun went down. We light the outside disk with lots and lots of candles. We also strung up our festoon lights amongst the wisteria above.
A gorgeous feature of the wedding was their seating chart (www.littlelaneevents) which was also handing from the wisteria, as well as the super cute gold heart piñata as their wishing well. And I am sure you will agree, what a stunning bride, groom and bridal party!!!
