Honey Lane have known the lovely couple, Sarah and Dan for years now and Sarah said to us when she got engaged that she knew “as soon as I got engaged, there was no question, I want Honey Lane to do our wedding”. Sarah and Dan were so fun and effortless to work with. Sarah always wanted her bridesmaid dresses to be different colours, so she chose an array of pastel colours, which is what began inspiration behind the summery, “beachside pretty” theme.
Both their ceremony and reception were on the rooftop of the Novotel Hotel in Wollongong. The combination of the warmth from the golden sun and salty breeze off the ocean, together created the most perfect setting for their wedding at the Novotel. We wanted the ceremony and reception styling to appear really fresh and modern with the use of our white four post arch, white bentwood chairs from Bentwood Events, tables covered in white linen.
We did however, want to layer the “Beachside Pretty” theme on top of all the crisp, white elements, so we styled: pink watercolour signage/stationary, gold-rimmed charger plates, mint and copper votives and bright pastel flowers in our gold terrariums and painted jars. The gorgeous flowers were by Becca from Florafolk.
Fairy lights that were already fitted in the venue’s ceiling, created a romantic ambiance along with the giant white letters that spelt the word: LOVE. All the guests and the lovely couple said they had the best day and the night ended with plenty of dancing to the live band!
