Acacia and Daniel's wedding was the embodiment of FUN! Meeting at 14 years old, a couple with a background in art and colour, it was no surprise that they wanted a wedding that reflected their vibrant personalities. Their chosen theme was Funky Art Deco Romance, and the result was a wedding event that was truly one-of-a-kind.
With Acacia telling us that her favourite colour was pink, we had no doubt it would be one of our massive feature colours. We were blown away with her choice of wedding dress the dramatic bustle at the back was just a small hint of what was to come.
The Sydney Honey Lane styling team had creative license to bring the brief to life. The atmosphere was one of drama, colour, and art deco romance, and it all took place at the stunning Botanic House Wedding Venue. The rain changed the ceremony location at the last minute, but our wet weather option at The Botanic House with it’s glass windows and surrounding gardens, created a romantic, intimate wet weather option. The dramatic floral arrangements, brought vivid displays of colour inside to transform the neutral venue.
Acacia and Daniel's love of vibrant colours was evident in every aspect of their wedding. Unique shapes, opulent characteristics, and a twist on traditional colour combinations created a joyful and exciting atmosphere. The stationary, signage, and florals all reflected the couple's personality, with bold hues of fuchsia, yellow, lilac and navy blue to create contrast.
The tables were a particular highlight, with glamorous fuchsia and yellow menus offset by lilac velvet napkins. The unique colour twist added an extra layer of vibrancy and character to the already bright celebration. As the night went on, guests brought their party A-game to the 80's disco throw back. Metallic streamers, neon signs, and margaritas completed the funky vibe.
Acacia and Daniel's adventurous and fun-loving nature shone through in every aspect of their wedding. The couple trusted our styling team to create their vision, and the result was a wedding that was truly unique. From the stunning setting to the vivid details, it was a celebration of love, life, and art.
